Let’s start with a coffee at Parliament before our private tour. We will focus on the "scandalous" secrets and architectural mysteries hidden behind its grand Neoclassical facade. Lean into local legends, like the enduring $50,000 reward for the stolen mace that vanished into thin air in 1891, or the cheeky typo chiselled into the marble of Queen Victoria’s statue in Queen’s Hall.

Next, immerse yourself in the city’s kaleidoscopic soul with a wander through its famous art alleys. From the neon-bright murals of Hosier Lane to the hidden gems of ACDC Lane, these ever-changing outdoor galleries turn every corner into a surprise.

Take a delicious break at Young and Jackson, Melbourne’s most legendary pub, which has been pouring pints since 1861. Head upstairs to Chloe’s Dining Room for a modern Australian lunch with a side of history, dining under the watchful gaze of the famous—and slightly scandalous—Chloe portrait, a local celebrity for over a century. Lunch includes wine, fresh bread, a choice of four mains, a sweet treat, and tea or coffee.

Our afternoon adventure continues with a private tour of the Australian Collection at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV International). This journey invites you to uncover the powerful narratives and diverse perspectives that define Australian history and culture, from significant First Nations masterpieces to landmark colonial and contemporary works. Venue guides move beyond the dates, sharing the stories and ideas behind visitor favourites and icons that have shaped the country's creative spirit.

Whether it is a first-time introduction or a deeper look for regular visitors, this tour transforms the gallery into a vibrant storytelling space, revealing the "hidden gems" of the most significant collection in the region. Enjoy extra time to explore the NGV until it closes at 5 pm.
